HISTORY OF CENTRAL DRY CLEANERS
​The first shop was on Robert Mugabe Road, right in the then town centre. At that time, amazingly dry cleaning was done by hand, with no machines involved at all! The owners slowly built the business up, modernizing and setting up the factory in Cripps Rd Graniteside in 1953, which has remained there to this day. At that time it was the largest dry cleaning factory in the country.
This vast experience leaves us proud, knowing that it is considered amongst the best in our industry, leading it to an unrivalled large and loyal customer base

At that time it was the largest dry cleaning factory in the country. Now there are ten shops, to include three drop-off depots in Mbare, many in the high density suburbs and Graniteside itself.

MANAGEMENT & STAFF
Our General Manager has 25 years of experience and is at the disposal of Clients on a daily basis, providing an excellent level of service.
We employ over 100 people, with the longest serving member of staff having 50 plus years of experience with us and the average length of service being 20 years.
Our staff are carefully selected and trained on site in their particular area of expertise. They also receive regular training up-dates and undergo monitoring exercises conducting by the Operations Manager and Factory Manager to ensure that the best possible quality of service is provided.
